Response to the Anti Social Behaviour initiative by our local young people Text of the children's view of anti social behavior in Kennett in response to the initiative being taken up by the villagers to deal with issues in the village. I think it states that case of the young people of the village very well and should make us all aware that it is so easy to brand all the young in the village as causing unsocial behavior. I do think we need to be very sure who is responsible for any occurrence of anti-social behavior and to where possible to initially identify the culprit(s). I would initially suggest to talk to the parents of those involved to make them aware and for them to take the necessary action. If the situation does not improve then further action involving the local police will need to be contemplated.
This letter also identified a further need for activities to be provided in the village so that "hanging around" is not the only option we can provide. We have already heard your views on what needs to be provided to help the youngsters and perhaps now we can all join together in trying to make the requirements a reality. - Webmaster
The letter is as follows:-
